So lovely, and so heartbreaking. I really think that there needs to be more exposure of artwork that shows Celestia's heartbreak at having to banish her sister; as beautiful as she is, she is absolutely crushed inside that she had to do what she did, even if it meant that Equestria - nay, the planet - would survive and not freeze under eternal night. I agree that "Lullaby for a Princess" is an awesome song (listening to it right now), and it just makes this picture hurt that much more. But, it is a wonderful pain; that I am feeling so much empathy for a character who only exists on paper and computers is a testament to the creator(s) who laid the foundations for this world and its populace, and to the fans who have breathed such life into these characters outside what we see on TV.
I love this show, and its characters. I love this fandom, and its fans.
It's even sadder when you realize she did that knowing Luna was not acting of her own free will, and Celestia knew that.
Personally I think the biggest heartbreak would be Celestia hearing Luna apologize for everything, mostly because Celestia discovered at that point she not only didn't have to banish her in the first place, but that Luna was convinced she was the only one to blame, despite being the only one confirmed to have been completely innocent.

That must have been a heartbreaking explanation
And forgive me for being so blind..."
Every single time I hear it I allways cry. I've been repeting it many times, but I'll repet it again: I am proud to be Brony.
Brohoof to you.
